With more than 15 years of nursing experience, Tanya brings a diverse clinical background and a deep commitment to women’s health and health equity. Her career began in pediatrics and expanded into labor and delivery, eventually taking her from coast to coast as a traveling nurse. Along the way, she witnessed firsthand the disparities in care experienced by Black and Indigenous women—an experience that ignited her passion for becoming a provider who could advocate for and support underserved communities.
Tanya earned her Master of Science as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner from Frontier Nursing University, where she strengthened her dedication to holistic, culturally responsive care. As a Black, Mexican, and Navajo clinician—and a native Spanish speaker—she is proud to care for patients with an understanding of the cultural, linguistic, and systemic factors that shape their health.
Originally from South Texas, Tanya has lived on both coasts, but she and her family are now rooted locally. She and her husband have grown children, and they recently became parents again to their three nieces—which has brought new joy, purpose, and perspective into their lives.
Tanya is grateful for the opportunity to serve her community and looks forward to providing compassionate, inclusive, and empowering care to women at every stage of life.
