Dr. Melodi Reese-Holley: Expert Ob-Gyn in Grand Prairie & Arlington

Dr. Melodi N. Reese-Holley was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She attended Xavier University of Louisiana, where she graduated magna cum laude in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. After completing her undergraduate studies, she continued her medical education at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center of Dallas. There, she earned her Doctorate of Medicine in 2010. She then completed an internship and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Methodist Dallas Medical Center. During her final year, she served as Chief Resident, which further expanded her leadership experience and clinical skills.

Throughout her residency, Dr. Reese-Holley received several notable awards. In 2012, she earned the Resident Research Award. The following year, she received the Outstanding Resident Teacher Award. In 2014, she received two additional distinctions: the AAGL Special Resident in Minimally Invasive Surgery Award and the Outstanding Academic Achievement Award. Taken together, these honors reflect her dedication to advancing women’s health and her commitment to excellence in patient care.

Today, Dr. Reese-Holley is a board-certified Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. In addition, she maintains memberships in several professional organizations, including the Texas Medical Association, the Dallas County Medical Society, the American Medical Association, and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.

Dr. Reese-Holley joined Omega Ob-Gyn in 2016. Since then, she has continued to grow her clinical expertise and broaden her scope of practice. Her care includes routine and high-risk obstetrical services, well-woman exams, contraception management, gynecologic care, and minimally invasive and robotic-assisted surgical procedures. Furthermore, she has a strong interest in patient education. She encourages patients to take an active role in their health and supports them in making informed decisions. Moreover, she values open communication and strives to build trust with every patient she serves.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Reese-Holley enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, crafting, Pure Barre, and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys. She and her husband, Terry, live in Grand Prairie and are the proud parents of two young children, Laihla and Vincent. Together, they enjoy creating meaningful family memories and staying connected to their community.
