Dr. Charmaine Oladell is originally from San Antonio, Texas, and she has built a strong academic and professional foundation in women’s healthcare. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. During her time at Tulane, she graduated with honors and earned awards for her research in Biochemistry.

After completing her undergraduate studies, she pursued her medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. She then completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. While at Emory, she continued to excel and received awards for her research in neonatal birth trauma. She was also recognized as the “Outstanding Laparoscopic Surgeon” in her class and received multiple teaching awards for her dedication to education and clinical excellence.

As her career progressed, Dr. Oladell focused on improving surgical outcomes for her patients. To decrease postoperative pain, shorten recovery time, and optimize surgical results, she dedicated herself to advancing minimally invasive and laparoscopic surgery. In addition, she now offers her patients DaVinci robotic procedures, including hysterectomy and myomectomy for the treatment of uterine fibroids. Dr. Oladell also remains actively involved in the medical community. She is a member of the Texas Medical Society and the Tarrant County Medical Society. She has been board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology since 2012 and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Through these memberships, she stays connected to professional development and ongoing advancements in her field.

She sees the field of Ob-Gyn evolving, and she remains committed to reviewing the latest literature and research on new treatments and diagnostic tests. By staying current, she aims to provide the best and most up-to-date care for every patient. Moreover, she emphasizes patient education as an essential part of her philosophy, encouraging every patient to understand their options and play an active role in their health.

Outside of work, Dr. Oladell enjoys a full and active life. She lives in Dallas with her husband, Marcus, and their two daughters, Hannah and Claire. When she is away from the office, she spends her time traveling and enjoying the outdoors as often as possible. These activities allow her to recharge and bring renewed energy and compassion to her medical practice each day.
