Dr. John Pickel graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine and completed his residency at the University Of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. A senior member of Omega Ob/Gyn, Dr. Pickel has been with the practice since 1979. His primary concentration is gynecological surgery and infertility.

Dr. Pickel is a fellow in the American College of Ob/Gyn, a member of the Association of Gynecological Laparoscopists, the Tarrant County Medical Society and the American Medical Society. An active member of the Arlington community, Dr. Pickel served as a former chief of staff at Medical Center of Arlington, as well as a past trustee on the board, and has been instrumental in the development of the medical community in the southern region of the Arlington/Mansfield corridor.

Originally from Indiana, Dr. Pickel is married and is the father of four children. He and his family reside on a ranch south of Mansfield where he enjoys ranching and gardening.
